# Cline

> Choose OpenAI Compatible in Cline, point the base URL at the gateway, and use any vendor's model in VS Code.

Cline is a coding agent for VS Code that supports OpenAI-compatible providers.

1. Open Cline settings and set the API provider to **OpenAI Compatible**
2. **Base URL**: `https://api.tokrouter.dev/v1`
3. **API key**: your `sk-` token
4. **Model ID**: a catalog id such as `claude-sonnet-5`

## Context on long tasks

Cline accumulates context across turns. Prefer models with a large context window (see the context
column on [Models](/en/models/)); otherwise long tasks hit the limit near the end.
